The match was tied at seven goals at the end of the first half and each bench some pep talk to do for their girls to find their winning mojo.
It was, Kamusinga who returned with for the second half with vagiance as Diana Barasa poked holes in St Joseph's defense scoring at will to propel her side to the title defense.
"It has been a long ride. It has taken passion and training hard to win easy. While most teams were affected by Covid-19 stoppages, having these players come from one academy run by renowned coach Gerald Juma has helped us.
We continued with training whenever possible at the academy and that helped my players," offered Simiyu in an interview with Mozzart Sport.

Barasa was the standout player in the match as she top scored with seven goals for Kamusinga as Peris Wanjala added give in the victory. Lavender Martha contributed five for St Joseph's.
"My players were not settled in the first half and the score showed. Goalkeeping was out biggest undoing in the first half and I had to make a substitution that made all the difference in the second half. She successfully stopped seven open chances and the resulting turnovers were converted giveming us the winning edge," Simiyu explained.
The tactician was quick to explain why his charges did not display the fast handball they are well known for saying that such a game plan would have seen them break early as they have had an exhausting program since the sub-county games.
